Cook Creative Media’s resident illustrator and concept artist, Gair Cook, created the stunning character illustrations and background digital matte paintings for the Australian Milkybar kid commercial. Gair had previously produced artwork for the New Zealand Milkybar Kid commercial featuring the first female Milkybar Kid.

Here she is! The Milkybar Kid for a new generation.

Here are some variations of the painted background. They needed to be in the style of an old Wild West Action Comic.

These were illustrations for the final shot of the book cover. All these images were composited into the commercial in post production by the fantastic VFX team.
