Here is some new concept art by Gair Cook for the feature film "Dead In The Water" directed by Steven Baker. Bloated Navy Zombies and doomed heroes fighting to survive make for some stunning visuals and a whole lot of fun.
Every good zombie flick needs a overwhelming siege by an endless horde of undead savages.

This is the face of rotting death. Delicious!

There's nowhere to run when you're stuck in the open ocean.

When life is good and no one wants to eat your face. Cheers!!!

This guy was more like a pondering Grandpa Zombie than a brain eating demon from hell. REJECTED!!!!
This is a bloated zombie close-up that seemed a little too cute for a scary horror fest. Gimme a hug, Chubs!!!

We went to see the Gregory Crewson's Exhibition!! I find Gregory Crewdson's work so inspiring I first came across a book of his years ago when I was studding my Bachelors of  Design and fell in love with his dynamic photography and by the way this is Lydia Cook here gushing on about art/photography.....

So when I found out Greory's show was on  I was so excited to view the works that I had only seen printed in a book or on the internet the experience was fantastic. The prints are Big, big, big allowing  you to see all the divine detail in the images, Amazing!!

Cook Creative Media’s office was feeling a little cluttered and outdated so we decided to treat it to a bit of a makeover. Here's a taste of some things we've added...
When we moved from Auckland to Melbourne Lydia's computer chair got lost in transit. For almost a year now she's been sitting on a plastic chair and complaining about having a num bum. But not anymore!!! We got her a new and improved chair with all the trimmings.
We got a Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet with touch features for our Laptop. This is perfect for editing photos and for Gair to do illustrations when he is away from his creative command centre. Now there are no excuses to take a day off, instead he can work all the time ;)
We were sick of keeping our books and Movies in boxes so we  got a big white cupboard with doors on the front to hide all our files/mess. Now we have all of our reference materials ready at a moments notice. Inspiration whenever we need it. YAY!!!!
By the way if your office is messier than ours don’t worry this is the tiredest our office ever get’s!!!
Have a happy Monday, from the Cook Creative Media team x

Vista Print keeps sending me emails enticing me to get  mugs, stickers, Pens and much, much  more. So tempting… but I am being strong! I am going to hold back for a while.

Cook Creative Media started with the colour pallet of pink and gold and after a quick photo shoot, and some photoshop magic, ended up with this glamorous pic. It has a taste of Gaga, Jem, and a dash of Kardashian. Liddy Gaga, xox!

Here is the brand new Adelaide Airport Multi-level Car Park advertisement from the website video production company Creativa. Gair Cook from Cook Creative Media had a great time sketching up the illustrations for this fun and informative video.

Cook Creative Media’s resident illustrator and concept artist, Gair Cook, created the stunning character illustrations and background digital matte paintings for the Australian Milkybar kid commercial. Gair had previously produced artwork for the New Zealand Milkybar Kid commercial featuring the first female Milkybar Kid.
We hope you enjoy the commercial as much as the Cook Creative Media team does!
